Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities Services (I/DD)

Community Access is a program that is focused on the individual getting out of the home and into the community. These services are designed to help the individuals we serve in acquiring, retaining, or improving self-help, socialization, and adaptive skills required for active participation and independent functioning outside the individual’s place of residence. Community Access services are individually planned to meet the individual’s needs and preference for active community participation and are provided outside of the individual’s place of residence. 

Pre-vocational services prepare an individual for paid or unpaid employment by teaching such concepts as compliance, attendance, task completion, problem solving, safety and other work-related skills.

Supported Employment provides services for individuals who, because of their disabilities, require additional support to obtain competitive employment in a regular work setting.

Community Living Arrangement (CLA) is a group home that provides 24/7 formal supervision for individuals with more significant needs who require more intensive supports. Services may include assistance with or training in activities of daily living (such as bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting), household care (such as meal preparation, personal laundry, house cleaning), financial matters, and other similar tasks designed to increase independence in self-care skills.  Individual healthcare, medication and behavioral management are provided through a team of direct support professionals, developmental disabilities professionals, and a licensed behavioral health analyst. Staff provides transportation and oversight of the individual into the community for shopping, dining and various events for the purpose of community integration.
